They told me to find joy in the dawn,
In the dew drops shimmering in the morn.
In the golden rays outlining the waves,
In the song of the breeze as it dances and sways.
But the sun sunk and the skies grew dark,
Gloomy clouds taking away the spark.
The aura slowly turned grey,
And all light faded away.
Then I stumbled upon a soft glow,
A feeling resembling a growing shadow.
Refusing in any way to dim or wither,
A whisper of strength pulling me together.
Wisps of happiness surrounding me,
Filling in the cracks where sorrow used to be.
A growing light eliminating all noise,
Life itself presenting me with a new choice.
