Stab my heart with a flaming sword,
Pluck out my veins, chord by chord.
Let fire consume what once was whole,
Burn my insides—obliterate my soul.
A priority, I once believed,
An irreplaceable bond I conceived.
United by threads unseen yet strong,
How did it all go so wrong?
Sweet illusions kept me confined,
Chasing mirages within my mind.
Words like petals, soft yet frail,
Wilting fast—just a broken tale.
Promises shattered, whispers cold,
Memories fading, stories untold.
Now, looking back, I stand aghast,
How naive I was to think it would last.
